Installation

1. Use code BehindTheFilm for 20% off to purchase Keyboard Maestro
2. Download and install Keyboard Maestro
3. Be sure to give it all necessary security permissions when prompted
4. Double-click on the .kmmacros file to add it to Keyboard Maestro
5. This will install the automation macro
6. Go to the Cut Page in DaVinci Resolve
7. With your Speed Editor keyboard, double-press the Audio Level/Mark button and continue holding down on the second press to pull up the Marker color palette
8. Rotate the jog wheel to select the red marker color
9. Every 1 second, Keyboard Maestro is searching your screen for this red marker
10. After 1 second of placing your red marker, Keyboard Maestro will Ripple Trim Edit from your playhead to the previous cut, and then it will select the red marker you just placed, and then delete it for you.
    

Best Practice:
Since this solution is using a 3rd party software, it's important to keep in mind the <1 second delay after placing the red marker.

Simply place the red marker, wait <1 second for Keyboard Maestro to both Ripple Trim and then delete the red marker.

Otherwise you'll have many undesired red markers throughout your timeline!
